What Is Compassionate NCBTMB Ethics?
This course is easy, fun and interesting. By having compassionate, professional boundaries in tact, we instill a sense of dignity and respect to our clients, our industry and ourselves. Respect refers to a consideration or thoughtfulness manifested by words and deeds. In the therapeutic relationship, respect has several indications, some of which are discussed in codes of ethics and standards of practice. It is imperative the therapist recognize the value of the therapeutic relationship and the client as an individual.
Ethics and professionalism can be very personal, controversial and individual, so this course will address generalized issues determined by the code of ethics developed by the National Board of Therapeutic Bodywork and Massage (NCBTMB), The Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP), and The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). There will always be situations you have to access uniquely and trust your judgment. This course covers the required 3 CEs required by the NCBTMB, including the mandatory Standard V. Roles and Boundaries. This course is all you need for re-certification regarding ethics with the NCBTMB.
